Football: Maribor-Zürich

Maribor had advanced into the 3rd round of qualifications for champions league after beating Wit. His next opponent was the Swiss champion, Zürich. In the first game, which was played in Zürich, all of 500 Maribor's fans witnessed an impressive victory with 2:3. Everyone believed that Maribor could hold the score with the home game at Ljudski vrt. The whole stadium was sold out already 3 days before the game.
It was not to happen for Maribor this year. With 400 wild supporters, Zürich players were motivated enough to beat Maribor 3:0.
Maribor will now play in the 4th round of qualifications for the Europa league.
